Year 4 Farington Park "Amazon Trip!"

Year 4 had a fantastic time on their visit to Farington Park this week. As part of their geography topic, the children became real-life  researchers, carrying out surveys by speaking to different members of the public. They were curious, polite and confident as they asked their questions, and really enjoyed hearing the different views and experiences people shared with them.

The class also explored the park itself, looking carefully at how our local environment compares to life in the Amazon Rainforest. From noticing the types of plants and animals, to thinking about how people use the space, the children made thoughtful connections between the two very different locations.

It was a trip full of discovery, discussion and   teamwork – and, as always, the children represented our school brilliantly well.
