Welcome to our upper juniors and Year 5!
Our Year 5 Class teacher is Mrs. Jordan. Our Teaching Assistant in Year 5 is Miss Gray.

We are very much looking forward to watching you learn and grow throughout the year. We hope you will have lots of fun as well as making the best possible progress.
Our PE days will be on Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Homework is given out on Friday and collected back in on Wednesday. Please encourage your child/children with their home reading and talk with them about the stories they are reading and the characters that they may come across.

We're published poets!
We’re so proud of our Year 5 class! Every pupil entered the I Have a Dream – Dreams in Ink competition with Young Writers — and every single poem has been selected for publication. Becoming a published poet is an amazing achievement, and our pupils have shown real creativity and confidence in sharing their hopes for the future. Their work will soon be in print and read across the country. Well done, Year 5!
North America - Continents Themed Week
What a week! Year 5 have been learning all about the continent of North America. They researched animals and biomes from across the continent and created their own top trumps game with the information they gathered. They had a go at converting pounds into dollars and bought some real-life American candy to try in class. Finally, they learnt how to sing and play La Bamba a traditional Mexican folk song. They had a blast!
